Chapter 74 Red Exploit

RedAct takes advantage of the anomaly and sees an opportunity

Not every threat announces itself.

Some arrive quietly, hidden beneath familiar systems, waiting for the right moment to make their presence known.

We've been following the mystery surrounding the Helios Ring, but there's another problem demanding our attention. RedAct hasn't disappeared. Whatever he's planning, I have a feeling we've only seen part of it.

Moonbeam has been keeping a close watch on the activity surrounding my systems, searching for patterns that don't belong. Sylvia has her own concerns, and with Kenneth's Clear Sky Collective stirring up suspicion, separating genuine warnings from deliberate misinformation is becoming increasingly difficult.

That's the trouble with information. Once doubt takes hold, even the truth can begin to look suspicious.

RedAct understands that.

He doesn't need to overpower every system if he can convince people to distrust the ones protecting them.

And he certainly doesn't need everyone to believe the same lie.

I've encountered his methods before. I know how carefully he works, how he hides his intentions behind layers of interference and misdirection.

But knowing someone is watching isn't the same as knowing what they'll do next.

As the investigation continues, Moonbeam begins uncovering traces that suggest there's more to RedAct's story than any of us realized.

And I suspect we're getting closer to something he would rather keep hidden.

The most dangerous exploit may not be in the code. It may be in what people are persuaded to believe.
